Weaning is completed and halter training has started.
I just want to take a minute to reflect on something that I am extremely proud of. In two afternoons I was able to handle, halter and lead 22 freshly weaned, pasture raised babies. Each one calmly and willingly, excepting what I was asking of them. This is not due to any special skill on my part but rather due to their great dispositions. I have worked hard on have really nice minded horses and every year I am humbled and honoured to be able to teach these babies the basics they will need for the rest of their hopefully productive lives. They make it so easy and so fun and every single one has a small spot in my heart.
