Over the last few years we’ve noticed the occasional wish thrown out there that we had a coffee shop in town. As coffee people ourselves and actual coffee roasters, we love the idea. We’d like nothing more than to expand this aspect in the store. But, to do that you definitely need population/foot traffic to make that a wish that has some business legs to it, and to do that year round and not just in the high season is an added challenge.
Some may have noticed the addition of some seating in our store (our ‘cafe corner’), and the addition of an automated Espresso machine over the last year. This was added to test the idea and provide a place for people to gather, have a seat, meet with friends and enjoy a regular or specialty coffee, or even some of the food offerings from our bakery, take-out , and sub/sandwich coolers.
So far, we have seen some use of the space from local kids, tourists in many cases, and we do have a handful of locals that make use of it on those more inclement days. Big shout out to Richie, Vern, and Mike who anchor our dedicated crew!!
The test is not over by any means!! We think we need to get the word out a bit more about what we have here as a space and our coffee shop offerings. So, expect to see more posts about this. If the response is positive and demand is there we’ll expand the space, upgrade and offer more.
When we started roasting our own coffee and established Lockeport Town Market Roasters, we began small, it was only with the wonderful support of locals and customers that we are where we are with it today. We’ve expanded our selection from just two original products to six now and selling in Lockeport, Shelburne and now Barrington. So, much like this, it is you the customer that will guide us on what we do, you have the power!! So, stay tuned!!

But....Rod's calling it the FRANKEN-Cookie (Double Chocolate, Butter Toffee and Salted Caramel Chocolate all in one!)...We'll let you decide 😉

We've also stocked back up on some Frozen Pies.....we've got some Key Lime, Coconut Cream, Lemon Meringue, Honey Crisp Apple Pie and Pumpkin in there....Find them at the front just beside the Freezer with the DANS ICE CREAM CAKES.

FRESH PORK BONE IN CHOPS going out now.

Rod just cooked up some MARITIME BLUEBERRY PUDDING CAKES (serving size of one or two depending on how bad your day was 😉). Great served with ice cream or whipped cream!!
