A notice to our wonderful customers and neighbours:

My 5-year old now “helps” with egg collection and packaging to earn his allowance.

Future cartons may be…unique, but the eggs will still be the same beautiful, colourful eggs you’ve come to appreciate. Inspected by mom and dad for cleanliness and quality.

Thank you for supporting local. He is going to put the money towards saving up for his “big kid bike” ❤️

Sincerely,
Shawna and Steve at RDF

I think that might be a wrap for 2024!

Our ladies have started their annual slow-down and will lay less and less as the days get shorter. Some farms will “light treat” their birds to that they lay consistently throughout the year, but it shortens the life span of the hens.

We love our girls at RDF, so a few months of rest is just fine by us. They should start laying again (like crazy!) by March.

Thank you all for your interest and support of our little homestead.

See you all in Spring 2025 ❤️ 🥚 🐓
