Twisted Willow Equestrian Programs/classes are non refundable.

Riders are expected to work towards becoming independent including but not limited to grooming, retrieving horses/ponies from the paddock, tack up, riding independently and returning horses/ponies to the paddock. Hunter jumper lesson program accepting new students. Please read entire post before booking.

English horseback riding lessons available for ages 5/6 and up, adults welcome! We focus on building a solid foundation. Our school horses do not wear harsh bits, martingales or any training gadgets. They receive regular body work, balanced farrier trims, and regular saddle fit appointments!

We have some availability for new students, from beginners to experienced riders. Option to show, but not mandatory.

Want to ride for fun? Awesome, come join us! Want to show? We do that, too!

Our show team is growing! Come join us on the Prelude & LHC circuits! We can work towards LHC, Prelude, and possibly Trillium for the 2027 season. Showing is not mandatory.

We currently have space in our lesson program for independent riders and beginners
Currently booking for small group lessons.

First time students may spend their first lesson learning about horse safety, grooming, and practice tacking & untacking their horses. First lessons for beginner riders are unmounted. NEW students to TWE will have their first lesson as an assessment. It is up to the COACHES discretion if this means ground work/tacking/untacking or riding

🦄Lessons must be paid for IN ADVANCE (no exceptions) to book. We run on a tuition basis, which means each rider pays monthy for a spot in our program. Some months there are 4 lessons, others there are 5 depending on the day/month. 24-hour notice required to reschedule. Make ups are available with sufficient notice. We do not offer refunds on lesson spots - same as most other sports. Lessons run approximately 2 hours start to finish - this may vary depending on which horse you ride and what day/time you are scheduled.

Lessons are in groups of 4-6 riders.

Lesson days and times are available as follows:

Mondays at 4:30pm - 1 spot new rider
5:30pm - 1 spot rider who can at least walk trot (wtc, looking to jump ideal) - SEPTEMBER spot
6:30pm - 1-2 spots adult rider at least walk trot

Tuesdays at 4:30pm - FULL
5:30pm - FULL
6:30pm - 1-2 spots rider who can at least walk, trot

Thursdays at 4:30pm - FULL
5:30 - FULL
6:30pm - FULL

Fridays at 4:30pm - FULL
5:30pm - FULL
6:30pm - 2-3 spots riders who can at least walk trot

Saturdays at 11:30am - 2 spots beginner riders
12:30pm - 1-2 spots riders who can walk trot canter
1:30pm - 1 spot beginner rider
2:30pm - 2 spots adult riders with some experience

10 minutes from London, 30 minutes from Woodstock, 20 minutes from Ingersoll, 30 minutes from Tillsonburg, 20 minutes from Aylmer

London Horsemanship Club show # 1 was a blast!

We had a number of first time riders, and what a welcoming & positive experience 🦄

Lilah & Your Wildest Dream placed 5th in walk/trot hack, 7th in walk/trot equitation, 2nd in Handy Hunter and 7th in command in the walk trot division!

Sophie & Jump Start placed 4th in walk/trot hack and 3rd in walk/trot equitation in the Walk Trot division!

Caia & Take A Chance placed 7th in handy hunter and 8th in command in the Walk Trot division!

Amber & Cookie Monster placed reserve (7th) in command in the Starter division!

Amber & Reach For The Sky placed 6th in equitation on the flat, 6th in hunter under saddle & 6th in equitation over cross rails in the SR Beginner division!

Jayda-Lynn & Big Exit placed 6th in hunter under saddle & reserve in handy hunter in the 2 foot division!

Violet & Something Fancy placed 6th in equitation over fences in the 2 foot hunter division!

MacKenzie & Show Me The Money placed 5th in hunter under saddle & 1st in equitation under saddle in the 2 foot division!

MacKenzie & Wildcard had a clear round & placed 3rd in both classes in the 2 foot jumper division!

We had a lovely day, and so much fun.

For your consideration:

"Wildcard" aka Scarlett is a 6 year old 15.2 thoroughbred mare. Her jockey club name is Veri Gizmo. She is sired by Ami’s Gizmo out of a Henny Hughes mare

Scarlett is currently being brought along by a talented teenage rider. She is going nicely walk trot canter and jumps a course. Scarlett shows promise to develop into a lovely 3 ring horse. She showed for the first time in the 2 foot jumpers at a schooling show going clear in her clear round and place 3rd in both classes.

Scarlett is developing a lead change and I have no doubt it will easily turn into an auto change as her training progresses.

Though not your stereo typical chestnut mare, she is still green and can get a little quick at the canter with some riders. She leads, cross ties, lunges, no rear/buck, super easy to handle on the ground.

Scarlett currently lives outside in a small group of mares. She is more towards the top of the pecking order. She can come into a stall, however prefers to live outside with friends. She is barefoot and on a 6 week trim schedule. Scarlett receives bi-monthly cranial sacral body work & is UTD on worming, teeth & vaccines.

Our loss is your gain! Price is open for negotiation within reason, however will increase with further training and showing. Scoop her up now and finish her your way! 🦄

🪷 $400 per week, taxes included ($200 deposit payable via etransfer to book) *We do not offer refunds, but can do program credits if absolutely needed.*

🪷 Ages 4-14

🪷 9am drop off, 3pm pick up. Early or late pick-up is available at an additional fee

🪻Each day is filled with fun group activities. From horseback riding to games on the lawn. Ninja course, bracelet making, tie dying, and more!

🪻Campers participate in some aspects of the daily care of our horses. This includes feeding, grooming, leading, and learning all about horsemanship, body language, and general horse care practices that keep our horses happy & healthy!

🪻Campers should bring a healthy lunch, snacks and lots of water! Please pack nut free lunches, as you would for school.
Other items to bring can include:

● hat
● boot with a small heel (rain boots are ok)
● sunscreen
● change of clothes (just in case!)
● astm approved riding helmet if you already own one (if not, we have lots! No bike helmets, please!)
● don't forget that lunch!
● towel and swimsuit or clothing that can get wet for water games

🪻Campers may be placed in groups depending on experience level.

🪻Please NO SANDALS or other open toed shoes. Running shoes are ok for all non-riding activities

Our first Prelude show ran fairly smoothly! It was a beautiful day, a little chilly in the morning but otherwise lovely!

Alayna & Glistening Waters had a great first show together, they may not have gotten ribbons in the hack division but Sparks was calm & looking great!

MacKenzie & Unforgettable had their show debut as well and placed 6th in the Pleasure Hack!

Zoe & Jump Start placed 4th in equitation on the flat, 3rd in hunter hack & 4th in command in the Starter division!

Amber & Your Wildest Dream placed 6th in the hunter havk, 2nd in command & 1st in Obstacles!

Aailyah & Big Exit placed 3rd in hunter over fences, 1st in equitation over fences, 5th in hunter under saddle and 4th in equitation under saddle in the Jr beginner division!

Amber & Big Exit placed 3rd in the hunter over fences, 3rd in equitation over fences, 2nd in hunter under saddle and 3rd in equitation under saddle in the Sr Beginner division!

MacKenzie & Unforgettable placed 1st in the hunter under saddle and 1st in the equitation under saddle earning Reserve Champion of the Intro division!
