Sunrise, and pink skies in Grimsby and Winona means we are picking the The Grimsby Hillside Vineyard from the block. Absolutely beautiful fruit! And the red clay soil here always makes a powerful and energetic w**e.

Plus we added a new planting of mixed clone Pinot on the slope!

New block of Pinot Noir on the slope on a clay loam (more stones, no red clay) soil. While there isn't a "bench" in Grimsby, we feel this slope at The Grimsby Hillside Vineyard is the closest thing to it. Excited to make w**e from here for the first time!

Highlights from our Blending Seminar for our W**e Club members on Saturday night! Every year, we get together to do a deep dive into how blending affects the resulting w**e.

This year we were tasting, learning, and blending Cabernet Franc and Syrah until we got the proportions just right!

The final result:
2024 Cuvée Tradition
60% Syrah (Hemeris Vineyard)
40% Cabernet Franc (Grimsby Hillside Vineyard)

Exclusively available as part of our W**e Club, this w**e is beautiful, big and balanced with a bit of 💥💥💥and 🔥🔥🔥.

It will be released in our Winter W**e Club shipment.

We're back Alberta! Great couple of days in Calgary re-introducing the Leaning Post gospel! Thanks to all of you for listening to me babble on about Niagara terroir, limestone, powerful but balanced w**es, and following your dreams.
