🍎 The secret is out… Gravenstein apples are picked! 🍎

One of our most special heritage varieties is now ready — and this one has a story.

Our Gravenstein apples are an original variety on our farm, a true heritage apple with roots that go way back. They’re prized for their wonderfully old-fashioned flavour — sweet-tart, juicy, aromatic, and full of that unmistakable apple taste that makes you understand why heritage varieties are so loved.

And here’s the catch…

We have VERY limited supply. We have just one bin of Gravensteins this year — roughly 20 bushels — and when they’re gone, they’re gone!

If you love Gravensteins, or you know someone who does, please let them know. This is a very small harvest, and we expect them to disappear quickly.

🍎 Come in today or early this week to get yours.
🍎 Very limited supply.
🍎 Once the bin is empty, that’s it!

The secret is out — Gravensteins are here! ❤️🍎

🍂 Butternut Squash is here: Sweet, Savoury & So Comforting

Butternut squash is one of those wonderfully versatile vegetables that can turn an ordinary meal into something cozy and delicious.

Think roasted squash: tossed with olive oil, salt, pepper and a little garlic, then roasted until the edges are caramelized and golden. The natural sweetness deepens beautifully in the oven.

Think soup: silky, creamy and comforting, with butternut squash as the star. Add onion, garlic, broth and a touch of warming spice, and you have a bowl that tastes like fall.

And there’s so much more you can do with it — mash it, add it to pasta or risotto, toss roasted cubes into salads, use it in curries, or simply serve it as a side dish.

🥣 Easy Butternut Squash Soup

Ingredients

* 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed
* 1 onion, chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
* ½ tsp ground cumin
* ½ tsp cinnamon
* Salt and pepper, to taste
* ½ cup cream or coconut milk, optional

Method

1. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until softened.
2. Add the squash, cumin, cinnamon, salt and pepper.
3. Pour in the broth and bring to a boil.
4. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes, until the squash is very tender.
5. Blend until smooth and creamy.
6. Stir in cream or coconut milk if desired.
7. Taste and adjust the seasoning.

Serve hot with crusty bread, toasted seeds or a drizzle of olive oil.

The taste? Naturally sweet, nutty and earthy, with a creamy texture that makes it perfect for simple everyday cooking.

What’s your favourite way to enjoy butternut squash?

🧄 Handgrown. Hand-braided.

Our beautiful garlic braids are here! 🌿🧄

Garlic braiding is an age-old way of storing and preserving garlic. Braiding keeps the bulbs together while allowing air to circulate around them, helping garlic stay dry and last longer. And, of course, a garlic braid is as beautiful as it is practical!

✨ A few ways to use your garlic braid:
• Hang it in your kitchen for easy access while cooking
• Use fresh garlic in everything from pasta and sauces to roasted vegetables and soups
• Give it as a unique, thoughtful gift for the foodie or garlic lover in your life
• Enjoy it as a rustic, natural kitchen decoration

Every braid is handgrown and hand-braided, making each one a little different and extra special.

🎁 A gift that looks beautiful, tastes delicious, and keeps on giving!

🧄 Garlic lovers, this one’s for you!

🍑 THE RED HAVENS HAVE ARRIVED! 🍑

One of our favourite signs of summer is here! These gorgeous Red Haven peaches come to us from our friends at Thompson Orchards in Blenheim, Ontario. 🍑❤️

Sweet, juicy, fragrant and bursting with that unmistakable fresh Ontario peach flavour—they’re absolutely delicious eaten straight out of hand.

But don’t stop there! Red Havens are wonderful in pies, crisps, cobblers, salads, salsas, jams… or simply sliced over vanilla ice cream. 😍

Our favourite? Peach Crisp!

🍑 Another batch of peaches has arrived! 🍑

This time we have Vivid peaches — a beautiful freestone variety from Niagara. Freestone means the pit comes away easily from the flesh, making these peaches especially handy for slicing, eating fresh, and baking.

Vivid peaches are known for their sweet, juicy flavour, beautiful colour, and firm flesh. They’re delicious just as they are, but also wonderful for pies, crisps, cobblers, jams, preserves, grilling, or slicing over yogurt and ice cream. 🍑

And we’re not done yet! More peaches from Blenheim are coming next week, so peach season is still going strong. ❤️🍑

Come get them while they’re here!
