Ontario Corn Fed Beef Faith in our members, pride in our product. The feed of cattle plays a big role in the flavour of the beef.

The Ontario Corn Fed Beef program provides consumers with an identifiably Ontario brand of beef – known to be consistent, premium and locally-raised. In this program, cattle consume a high percentage of corn in their diets. This diet gives our beef superior marbling which makes it the most tender, tasty beef anywhere. Corn-fed cattle have a desirable, distinct beef flavor recognized in the finest

restaurants. To be eligible to participate in the program, beef farmers must follow stringent quality assurance protocols. Since its introduction into the market place in 2001, Ontario Corn-fed beef has provided consumers with a recognizable brand and logo that assures them of receiving a product consistently produced in accordance with established quality standards.

There is absolutely nothing like the energy on the farm right now. The cattle are fed and content, the planters are rolling hard in the dirt, and the first cut is officially coming off the field.

It’s busy, it’s chaotic, and it’s a whole lot of long hours—but honestly, what a time to be alive. Nothing beats seeing all the pieces fall into place.

Honoured to be “Rooted and Rising” with Canada’s top culinary talent this week! 🌱

Ontario Corn Fed Beef spent a busy and inspiring few days at the Culinary Federation 2026 Conference. We supported hosting immersive farm tours, sharing mouthwatering food tastings, and taking a fascinating educational stop at the Elora Research Station to look at the future of Ontario beef production.

Connecting chefs with the science, hard work, and passion behind local farming is what we’re all about. Thank you to everyone who made this week such a massive success! 🙌
