You guys listen up

Buy your guineas NOW. Last fall I had trouble rehoming the last 30 so I just kept them.

When spring rolled around, suddenly everybody wanted to buy them. I wasn’t interested in selling them after I got them through the winter. I don’t mind running a whole fleet of guineas. Everybody else has bugs and we don’t. They even eat wasps. 

I’ve got a bunch right now. And I just had 17 more hatch. 🥴🙄

If you want tick control for next year, you need to get them now. They will be full grown and ready to work in the spring. They don’t look like it, but they’re hardier than a chicken. If you have any questions, send me a message and I can talk to you through it.

If anything was possible, what would your NEXT dream breed/variety of poultry be?

Many of us already own our dream birds (for me it’s East Indies ) but my next one..? Hummm. I think maybe Sebright chickens. In gold or silver. Whenever I see one I get grabby hands lol

I’ve also recently become attracted to Sumatra chickens.

AND I just figured out that bantam gold laced barnevelders exist an I want those too

What do you guys want? (Housing/weather/availability don’t matter. This is a dream)

Can seramas live with full size chickens?

I’m not sure if hens would get flattened but in my experience, the roosters do just fine

This little guy broke into my Barnevelder pen and made himself at home. They don’t bother him at all. There’s 3 massive roosters in this pen and this little guy doesn’t have a mark on him

He’s not the only serama that’s coexisting with big chickens.

* always introduce new birds slowly. I’m not saying it’s ok to toss a new bird into an established pen.

My mistake is your gain!

I’ve decided that I hatched WAY too many white chantecler chicks. They are 3-6 weeks old.

I was going to keep them but after going over how many birds I have,… I better not.

Hens are excellent layers. Roosters get big enough to eat. Only breed of chicken developed in Canada and they are bullet proof.

These are from 4 different flocks so no worry about inbreeding if you want to breed them.

** bred to standard but undesirable traits are always possible

We have a cat named Super Frankenstein
A sheep named Ding D**g
And a pony named Scotchgard.

Things are winding down here

In the last 2 days we’ve sold 74 birds!

If you think you still want something before next spring, you should speak up now
