Do you like eating duck eggs ? Do you want your own duck eggs?

You need Khaki Campbells. They are a light duck, don’t eat nearly as much as my bigger ducks, but the eggs are comparable in size.

They can lay 250-300 eggs a year and are comparable to a leghorn chicken.

We have 6 hens and pick up 5 or 6 eggs every day.

They are winter hardy and don’t need much to keep them happy. If you have never had ducks before, I can give you all the information you need. It’s less work than you think.

We’re going to be selling some young pullets/hens.

These are NOT breeding quality so I don’t even want to tell you what breed they are lol

Last year I sold some super obvious culls with the wrong comb to a backyard home. They turned around and tried to sell them saying they were pure birds from my farm. Even used my name in their ad. You could SEE that the birds were wrong 😡😡😡

If that happens again I’ll have to stop selling culls and do something else with them.

If you just want backyard birds for eggs , I’ll have those. The wrong comb, colour, feathers etc has no effect on egg laying ability.

Finally got a big duckling hatch!

We’re working our way down the list. There was only 2 Cayugas in this bunch. I know a lot of people are waiting for those. 4 weeks ago we were barely getting any Cayuga eggs but we’re on track now. 👌🏼

We’re going to have lots of extra ducklings and we’re in Lloydminster today and Saskatoon (again) tomorrow. Last Saskatoon trip for a while.

Lots and lots of marans available. Most likely pure black copper but possibly split to lavender or carrying chocolate. Good if you just want dark layers and not breeding them. Example of the eggs they came from. Didn’t hatch any eggs lighter than this.

Please please stop getting scammed. There’s literally thousands of fake farm pages. I dont care if you don’t buy from me… my selection is limited and I get it.

If you’re thinking of buying from another farm, ASK ME about it. I’ll help you learn to pick out scams and I’ll even show you how I know it’s a scam. If the farm page is real, I’ll know about it or I’ll know someone who does. There isn’t that many of us that are real.

This goes for all livestock.

It hurts my heart when I hear about people losing hundreds/thousands to scammers when it’s so easily prevented.

Huge thank you to all the new and old customers we met up with this week. Chick Days at Parkland Hardware and Building Supplies Ltd was a huge success and we had a great day in Saskatoon today. It was our first big Saskatoon trip of the year due to having to stay home for lambing. And special thank you to those that drove so far to meet up with us today. ❤️

We are planning to attend the Farm Fair in La Corey AB on June 20th. That’s the only fair we do (so far).

We’re going to do a Cold Lake trip before that and ‘maybe‘ Edmonton if we get enough interest.

There’s also a chance of us attending shows in central and southern Alberta this summer.

Let me know if you would really like us to travel somewhere else and I’ll see what we can do.
