Has been a busy but fun last few days.
Took our trailer up to the lake for the summer.
Our daughter had some friends over for the night. Lacey conquered her fear of Vickie…
Went and celebrated our beautiful niece at her graduation.
Went back to the lake to finish setting up our campsite.
Now we are going to start tearing down and redoing some corrals, need to start weaning some bucklings!
I sat down for a couple minutes with the moms and 2 of our favourite doelings couldn’t come snuggle up quick enough. They sure do love their scratches.

Been waiting for a few years, for B to give me a Black Traditional. This year she finally gave me not one but 3! I will have 2 doelings to pick from this summer.

Finally nice out! Got some pictures of the boys out on a walk.
Pogie, CB and Mac.
3 big, destructive, lovable babies.
Need to get them brushed out, looking a little shaggy.

No better way to spend the morning than with a whole bunch of kids.
Babies are all doing well. Happy to be out on pasture and not stuck in a muddy barn yard.
Kidding went very good, was quick! First doe kidded on March 11th and last one on March 24th.
We are only keeping a few kids back this year. Will have purebred and commercial does and bucklings available. Let me know if you want to be added to our wait list.

It’s been awhile since we’ve made a post. Need to get better with that…

But, we are ready for kidding season. Barn is cleaned and pens are ready. Shelters and troughs moved. All of our supplies are organized and ready again.

Our girls are more than ready to start, that they are uncomfortable is an understatement….they can start anyday now. Some like to give me a heart attack with how they like to sleep.

Mom and daughters like to stay close together. We have quite a few groups now. Our girls we kept back from last year are in with the moms too, but they won’t be bred till next year.

Few pictures of our bucks, not the best pictures, but they are happy to be in their new pasture. Pogie has only wrecked one gate since we’ve moved them.

Doelings have been weaned!
We’ve picked out the ones we will be keeping back, didn’t even argue that much, haha.
Very happy with the group, a few were ounces away from 80 pounds.
