So if you have time check them out on Silver creek nursery’s website so you know what you’re looking for, otherwise we will have catalogs that you can look through on site no guarantee because we only got a certain number of each trees and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

It’s hard to believe it’s this Sunday!!!

We’ve got the tree list and quantities, and tomorrow we’ll be sending it out to our e-news, so if you’d like to see what might be available, head on over to our website to sign up: www.meetingplaceorganicfarm.ca

This is a wonderful collaboration between Silver Creek Nursery , ourselves and AMGH Foundation to plant some wonderful apple trees and help bring an MRI machine to our local hospital.

Come and support a good cause this weekend and buy an apple tree (or trees!) to support the purchase of an MRI machine at Alexandra Marine General Hospital.

Sorry for the short notice, but this is a great opportunity to get some apple trees and support an essential community service! These trees are bare root, so you’ll need to plan to plant them soon after you get them!

We’ll know quantity and variety soon, but wanted to give people as much of a chance to know about them.

Want do donate and get some trees but can’t come Sunday? Email Katrina at the farm and let her know. Maybe we can work something out!

One of our ladies had her piglets today. Who do you think it was!?

When I talked to our amazing vet she was like there is a tiny possibility that it’s Mycotoxicosis, which can lead to gilts / sows uddering up a bit with a false pregnancy. But given their possible exposure to an intact male… we figured I’d just wait it out instead of paying a call fee for her to ultrasound them.

So, these first Kugler’s definitely prove the pregnancy theory. Now to wait and see how many more farrow.

I’m doing all the farm chores right now which means I don’t get to spend a lot of time doing much else, but it also means I get to enjoy each of our groups of livestock. This morning moving the cattle was super sweet. I love seeing all of the new calves (we’re over half way done) frolicking!
