Who’s ready for Lumby Days?!

Come support local by visiting our Co-op booth inside the Curling Rink! We will be there all day Saturday the 13th, and all day Sunday the 14th, so if you are looking for some healthy alternatives, or a quick pick me up, we will have drinks, chips, bars, and more all for sale! On top of that, almost everything available at our booth will be a Canadian brand, such as Blue Monkey drinks, Made Good granola bars, NoochPOP popcorn, and tons more!

Along with our booth, we will also be participating in the Lumby Days parade where we will be repping our Co-op, as well as giving out candy to our local community, so make sure to come see us! We are also looking for volunteers to give out candy during the parade, as well as sit in on our booth, so be sure to reach out at [email protected] if you are interested!

If you haven’t yet joined our raffle, now is the chance! We will be drawing the winner for local artist and long time Co-op member, Loretta West’s “Spring Think” artwork on Sunday, June 14th AT LUMBY DAYS! Drop in to the Co-op anytime between then and now to purchase a $2 raffle ticket!

Hey everyone! Canada Day is coming up soon, and we wanted to share some information about the event details:

The Canada Day event will be taking place in the Oval Park on Wednesday, July 1st, and will have outdoor activities and games going on throughout the day around the Oval. Hot dogs and cake will be available throughout the day, for purchase by donation. There will also be outdoor game stations and a fish pond game for the kids. Bring your bike to our bike decorating station, where supplies are provided and enter it into the bike parade.

The Lumby pool will have free public swim during the Canada Day event. And the Lumby Public Market will be stationed out there as well.

We’re bringing a fun new early- morning activity to the IPE and wanted to see what you all think!

How does Goat Yoga from 9-10am sound??🐐
It will take place in a quiet area( plenty of space away from the busy action, don’t worry!)

With how busy fair time can be, we know it might be nice to offer a little moment of relaxation, a chance to slow down and start your day off in a fun way!

Before we go ahead, we’d love to gauge the interest…Would this be something you’d want to do at the IPE?

And if you happen to know a great yoga instructor in the area, we’d love your recommendations too!

Pistachio-Crusted Halloumi with Honey and Thyme
Ingredients

Halloumi

250g halloumi cheese, sliced into thick slabs
1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
Honey Thyme Glaze
3 tablespoons honey
