They’ve been fence free. Fed grain, foraged for bugs, seeds and grasses (and loads of my garden tomatoes lol). As healthy as can be.

We finished hay!
We harvested our garlic and onions.
Fenced more of our acreage to add to our rotational grazing system for the cattle.
We’ve been keeping up with our daily chores.

Now that’s it’s midsummer that means soon enough the freezers will be getting filled up again.

Chicken and turkey will be restocked in September!

Turkey $5.25/lb

The last couple weeks Josh has been working hard at getting the hay finished up. Lots of breakdowns, maintence and figuring out the new (to us) baler.
The kids enjoyed taking turns in the buddy seat watching their dad cut, rake and bale. Then I had all three of the kids with me to wrap some bales before the rain tomorrow. Still some more acreage to go but the majority of it is behind us until second cut.

Hey! 👋😊
It’s been awhile since we last posted. We’ve been keeping busy on the farm. Selling eggs, raising turkeys, meat birds and laying hens. Growing the beef herd and welcoming home some weaner pigs. We’ve been planting and harvesting in the garden, rotating the grazing pastures for the cattle and making hay for the winter months. But most importantly, we’ve been soaking in becoming a family of 5.
