💜 Today is our 10th wedding anniversary, so it seems like the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves to all the new people following along on this adventure. 💜

I’m Erin, and along with my partner, Luke, we are Bright & Lion Botanicals.

When we met, we talked about our mutual dream of farming and growing things in Nova Scotia. I told Luke about my dream of starting a lavender farm, and he listened.

Then, somehow, little by little, that dream became a reality. 🪻💜

Ten years of marriage, two kids, a whole lot of hard work, and more lavender than we ever could have imagined later… here we are. There are lots of days that I’m quietly harvesting lavender and I just can’t quite believe this beautiful, purple monster we’ve created. Sometimes it’s overwhelming!

Bright & Lion is a little piece of the life we dreamed about together and we’re so happy you’re here to follow along. 💜

💜🪻Next up this week! Our first official UPICK! 🪻💜 Book a spot to come and experience this incredible field of purple this Saturday, July 25 from 3-4 or 5-6. We are only opening a very limited number of spots to come and enjoy the farm and harvest your own bunch! 💜🪻

We are still building the infrastructure to support more cars here at the farm and so we must keep the numbers low in order to accommodate everyone and ensure the best possible experience. NO WALK INS please and strictly no pets.

- A booking for a 1 hour visit to the farm and UPICK is only $5 per person to reserve your spot!
- All harvested Lavender will be charged by the bunch size
- Our Market Stand will be open with all of our products as well as a lemonade stand.
- Please note- there are no public washrooms.

Children under 12 are free and do not require a booking but must be supervised at all times. All adults and children over 12 must book in.

💜 The time has come! 💜 The Lavender is ready for Wreath Making! This year we are offering 3 afternoon workshops - July 24, 29 and 31 from 2-5 pm. Workshops include a short farm tour, harvesting experience and all instruction and supplies to make an incredible Lavender wreath! We will also treat you to some homemade Lavender themed refreshments made with our lavender.

Details:
- The farm is located 5 mins outside of Lunenburg or Mahone Bay.
- Workshops are $75 plus tax and must be booked online via our Shop on our website: Brightandlion.com (link in bio.) Act fast - Workshops sell out every year! If you can’t get a spot, please email us at [email protected] to be added to the waitlist.
- Workshops run rain or shine

💜 Sachets all day! Filled with our dried, organic lavender from our 2025 crop. Lavender sachets are wonderful for in your closets and clothing drawers, under your pillows and even a little scented rear view mirror ornament to lavenderize your car. 💜
