Solidarity shares available! 🌱

We know that fresh, local vegetables are not accessible for all folks, especially those who are marginalised and/ or on fixed incomes. We have a Solidarity Share Fund composed of donations from our members and a generous community that can be accessed by anyone that needs financial support to access our shares. We hope this program will allow more community members to access the CSA while ensuring fair compensation for the farmers. Anyone who is interested in a CSA but cannot, for any reason, afford a regularly priced share is welcome to these funds as they are available, just send us an email ([email protected]). Solidarity shares can also be purchased directly through our online store - basket or market shares available!

We currently have $1180 in our solidarity share fund thanks to generous donations. With this, we hope to subsidize 5 more shares. Please help us spread the word and feed our community. Thank you!

We’re looking for a team player and good communicator, someone who is motivated to work in all weather conditions and who has an interest in / experience working on an intensive, organic farm.

We can offer:
🌱 6 month contract
🌱 4 day work week
🌱 $20/ hr

🌱 access to organic veggies and flowers

Quick trip down memory lane to celebrate 5 years of Spring Tide Farm in Lapland! 🧄

On this day, 5 years ago, we set roots and planted our first crop of garlic. Jessie, Brendan, Dad and I planted beds that Tom, the former steward of this land, prepped for us; we planted seed from and ; and filled Brendan’s lifted ranger ( ) with seaweed for mulch.

Since then we have literally grown so much!! We have expanded from 1 field block to 9, planted countless perennials, built infrastructure, established a 100 member CSA, brought on 2 incredible employees, and so much more! We continue to learn and evolve every single day and I’m so grateful for this journey and everyone that’s supported us. Looking forward to seeing what the next 5 years brings! 🥂

summer has arrived which means it’s bean picking season - everyone’s favourite 🙃

But we can’t complain, the abundance is a beautiful thing! Peppers are coming along, tomatoes are on the go and zucchinis are cranking (I even snuck one into my smoothie this morning 🤪). Hope y’all are enjoying the harvests too and staying hydrated in this sustained heat.
