W**e Growers Nova Scotia and its members are very concerned about a number of comments posted on social media alleging inappropriate actions and verbal comments made while recently visiting a member w**ery of our association. Our concerns are for anyone who had to endure any inappropriate behavior and would encourage individuals to make an official complaint with appropriate authorities, should they believe it warranted. We want to make it clear that the kind of conduct described is unacceptable and does not reflect the values and standards of our association.

W**e Growers Nova Scotia is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, safe, and professional environment. As a result, the association is holding an emergency meeting with our Board to address this situation. We stand firmly against any members that do not treat guests, staff and/or team members with respect, and who undermine the integrity and reputation of the w**e industry in Nova Scotia.

We remain dedicated to upholding the highest standards of conduct and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all our members align with these principles. We commit to updating this communication after the Board meets and determines next steps.

Another great alternative added to the list!

Introducing, Nova Zero.

In the summer of 2008, we released our very first vintage of Nova 7, a tiny batch of an unassuming yet delicious Muscat-based blend, named in part after its ‘07 harvest year. Little did we know then that this w**e intended for casual summer sipping and immediate enjoyment would become an overnight success.

Revealing Nova Scotia’s ability to produce w**es of unprecedented freshness and vibrancy, our entire small production was sold in just a few hours, with anticipation immediately building for vintages to come. Demand grew exponentially, and within six years, Nova 7 became the top-selling w**e in the province thanks to the outpouring of support from Nova Scotians, including the folks working at the NSLCs and private w**e stores, who warmly embraced the distinct new w**e.

We take great pride in our innovative vision and commitment to sustainability, drawing on our legacy of expertise, craftsmanship, and artisanal excellence. While remaining true to the values and deep connection to place that have brought us this far, we occasionally dare to break from tradition to adapt and explore new frontiers.

Closely mirroring its alcoholic counterpart, Nova Zero is a groundbreaking non-alcoholic experience delivering the unmistakable characteristics that have made its namesake a symbol of the East Coast. Enjoy this fresh and elegant thirst quencher anytime, anywhere.

Available directly from Benjamin Bridge online and in-person at our Gaspereau Valley w**ery, and, select Sobeys locations throughout Atlantic Canada. Coming soon to the shelves of a local independent retailer near you!

Chardonnay in Chardonnay.

🏠: Lightfoot & Wolfville Home Farm Vineyard
🌎: Wolfville, Nova Scotia
🍇: Chardonnay, Biodynamic & Organic Certified
🍷: Small Lot Chardonnay, 2021

- Single-vineyard & small barrel selecting from 2021 growing season, Home Farm in Wolfville Nova Scotia.
- With the cooling breezes from the Minas Basin & Bay of Fundy this location provides an excellent flavour of Chardonnay grapes with balance of Freshness and flavour.
- Mostly using Neutral French & some New French Oka barrels with wild yeast and MLF fermentation, to then being aged for 21 months, this has developed notes of pear & citrus, with hints of butterscotch. Being on the water, creates a flinty edge but with a creamy finishing due to the MLF.
Nothing better than enjoy a crips glass of Chardonnay in the vines from where it is grown, along with an amazing view of the Minas Basin & Bay of Fundy!
The blue sky and sunshine help too!

Took sometime to visit the South shore, couldn't help but stop in for a great selection of Oysters, delicious Calamari, and a fresh Lobster BTL.

If you have the chance to get out to the shore, I recommend The Half Shell, great seafood, service and view in town!
