Big Belle Farm

Big Belle Farm Big Belle Farm is a 190 acre farm (original 61 acres in Mabou Ridge, 129 acres added in Mount Young). We grow grapes, wild blueberries, apples, pears & haskaps.

We host smaller concerts in our barn & larger concerts outside the barn.

These are some historical photos of the barn when the Gillis family owned the farm. The paint job was superb when the pictures were taken. Dan White, elder carpenter from Northeast Mabou, observed that it was painted at a time "when you could get good paint".

Testing my new battery powered pruning shears. Using them to prune some currant bushes - removing some of the older (darker) canes. This is a heavy duty pruner that can handle larger branches and small trees. I think there is an adjustment on the pruner head to reduce the width of the pruner shears.
