Thanks to everyone who has reached out about Zelda. Unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to humanly put her to rest and end her suffering yesterday. She developed PEM and by the time we discovered it was this and not pneumonia, it was too late. All we can do is learn from her passing, may she rest in peace.

***UPDATE***

Zelda now has had 2 rounds of proper anti-biotics, some enzyme and vitamin paste, and we are keeping her hydrated and comfortable with a homemade electrolytes solution which despite her fragile state she still sticks her tongue out for. We want to thank everyone who has reached out to help and especially the kind lady who got us the right antibiotics and paste to give her the best chance. We are far from out of the woods so please continue to send all the good healing vibes for Zelda.

HELP

Does anyone have a wide spectrum anti-biotic to treat pneumonia in goats? I have called everywhere with no luck including multiple vets in our area. If anyone has goats and could spare some please reach out! Our baby Zelda needs help.

We have a good friend who is in a difficult situation with domestic abuse and needs to find a safe space for her and her child by Monday. While I appreciate any leads within the Chester school system district, specifically Gold River-Martins Point for housing, what we also are asking is if anyone has the space to foster her 3 dogs and 2 cats while she can find suitable, stable, and safe housing for her and her son. Please reach out to us privately with any leads and keep comments that are unkind in your mind and off our thread. Remember, going through domestic abuse and finding the courage to leave is a hard enough battle without having to face fostering your beloved pets.
