And now for the FINALE of the Manitoulin Island food tour!

We’re back at The Twisted Sister for one last creation, and this one might be the most Canadian thing I’ve eaten on the entire tour.

These are the Manitoulin Maple Fries — fresh-cut fries topped with in-house smoked bacon and then absolutely lathered in SPICED Manitoulin maple syrup.

Fresh-cut fries. Smoked bacon. Spiced maple syrup.

Sweet, smoky, salty and completely loaded.

I mean, come on… can you get more Canadian than that?!

After everything I’ve eaten across Manitoulin Island, this was the final test.

Did the Manitoulin Maple Fries finish the food tour with an Aye or a Naw?

The final stop of the Manitoulin Island food tour has arrived… and we’re going out with a bang!

This is Part 1 of 2 at The Twisted Sister, and we’re starting with something that can only be described as MONSTROUS.

Meet The Twisted Rocket.

A quarter-pound hot dog wrapped in a tortilla, deep fried, then loaded up with sour cream, signature Coney sauce, beanless chili and green onions.

I mean… just LOOK at this thing.

It’s a hot dog. It’s a wrap. It’s deep fried. It’s absolutely covered in toppings.

Would you call that monstrous?

But the real question is… was it an Aye or a Naw?

You’ll have to watch to find out.

The Ice Cream Shop remains open till 7

We hope everyone is enjoying your summer so far, it’s flying by!!

We have a few dates to keep in mind

The Food Truck and ice cream shop will NOT be open September 3rd through the September long weekend as we need to travel for my dad’s celebration of life.

After the September long weekend the Food Truck will not be open Mondays, the ice cream shop will only be open Saturday and Sundays.

The Food Truck will close for the season October 4th

Pizza Shop opening will be sometime in November date to be determined.

Due to Bereavement The Food Truck and Ice Cream Shop will be closed Monday July 20th and Thursday July 23rd.

The bakery looks like Old Mother Hubbard but the soft ice cream machine is going.

Thank you to all of our very valued customers, we appreciate all of you so much!
While we are dealing with family matters please bear with us as we navigate through.
With the help of our amazing staff we should be able to cover most everything, just Thursday should have us closed.
