Set on 100 Acres on Mulmur Ontario, Silver Willow Farm Animal Rescue is the only recognized rescue that open to ALL farm animals. We run on private funding and donations. Donations are always greatly appreciated. It costs a lot of money to feed, house and care for these disrespected, abused and discarded animals. Beauty day at the farm today. Not too hot. No bugs.
Tough doing any chores with a dislocated shoulder but I can at least feed, water and give a little cuddle.

This good old cat has been with me for 15 years. He’s out lived two great dogs and now is facing his final days.
He’s spent his whole life here, out smarting coyotes and owls and foxes and any stray cat that roamed on to this farm. He’s had a magnificent free life here.
He’s fought off countless predators yet never once harmed any dog or human.
Silver will be missed around here. No doubt.

She’s found her new nest to raise her family and she’s quite proud of it.

You can say I’m heartless or tough, but I’ll tell you , my heart breaks every minute of every day. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten thru a day in the past 30 years without crying.
I love these animals with every inch of my soul. I give them all of me and they take a chunk of my heart with every passing.
My beautiful Jewel missed her 26th birthday but just a few days.
If you think you could not do what I do, then don’t tell me how much you love animals.
No excuse. Love goes past the end. It never dies.

When the peaceful ending is the last act of kindness they will know, it’s not drama, it’s respect.
Utah knew nothing but kindness. No fear.
It makes the journey together worth it.

Guess who’s got a big birthday coming up. 26 years young ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Let’s celebrate the day the world was blessed with this beautiful souls arrival.
Her secret birthday wish is for carrots , sweet feed (picked up at any feed store), soft alfalfa bales, and cuddles. Doesn’t seem like much but it means the world to her. It reminds her she’s loved even in her senior years.
Anybody who’d like to donate a birthday wish for her can drop it off at the farm’s front door. I’ll leave a bin at the door for her. She likes apples too, but carrots and molasses coated feeds are her favourites.
I’d also like to have a random draw for the winner to come and brush her up and get some photos together. Jewel would love that.
Just add your name in the comments and the week prior to her birthday I will draw a name and post it on FB.
You can also add your name with the birthday treats you bring for her and you’ll be included again in the random draw.
May 23rd is her big day. 🎉🎂🥳

My little piggies sure are glad spring has finally arrived. They’re so busy stretching their legs and exploring after a very long dormant winter.
These little 4 legged stones are free to wander the farm, dig and root as pigs naturally do, yet they are never far from their straw nest. They seem to wear the bedding like jewelry as they hobble around acting like they don’t have a care in the world.
