September… the bridge between summer and fall ☀️🍂

The weather has been a pleasant mix of cool morning and warm afternoons which makes me feel nostalgic for a new pack of pencil crayons, fresh pens and unmarred notebooks. Even though I’m not headed back to school next week I might still treat myself to a few school supplies, just because. ✏️

If you’re in town this Labour Day long weekend come visit the farm stand and see what’s in bloom! Mixed bouquets and mason jars with a few different price points… the hardest part will be choosing which one to bring home. 💐

Howdy and happy Saturday! 👋

Whew the weather sure doesn’t know what it wants to do today but it’s turning out to be a lovely one. If you’re out and about this weekend and are looking for some beautiful fresh flowers, please stop by the farm stand. 💐 We are solidly in dahlia season and they are putting on a good show in this weekend’s bouquets.

August is abundant with flowers and I’ve picked the best from the fields this week, including these Zinnias in an array of fun fruit punch colours. Btw, did you know it’s Canadian flowers week? Yes! Every August we celebrate Canadian grown flowers across the country and I’m proud to be a small grower amongst some pretty impressive players in this field.

Stop by this weekend to pick up some locally grown flowers… the farm stand is self-serve so you can browse in a quiet, cozy space and take all the time you need to pick just the right bouquet.

Special orders are my fav… when you opt for “farmer’s choice” that gives me the freedom to wander the field and pick a palette based on what catches my eye. In this large vase arrangement, I started with Larks Ebbe dahlia and went from there. Thank you W for your order and support of my small farm biz 🙌✨

Summer colours 🍓🍒🍊🍑🌻🍉🥝🦋🍇

As we enter the second half of summer the farm is in a funny transitional period where there’s lots of flowers to harvest, a few beds to flip and prep for fall panting, seeds to be started, weeds to pull and watering watering watering… hard to keep up with it all at times so it’s best just to go with the flow and hold on tight! 🎢

If you fancy a summer sunset in bouquet form, the stand will be open all weekend so stop by and grab a bunch for your week ahead. 🌅
