💙 FATHER’S DAY LAUNCH – FRANK’S FAVS 💙
Father’s Day will always be a little bittersweet.
Today I’m honouring my dad, Frank Whiteway – TT winner, Manx Grand Prix winner, ACU Gold Star recipient, world record holder, engineer, mentor, and above all, a much-loved dad.
To celebrate his life, I’ve created a special collection of three cookies inspired by his favourite desserts and the achievements that defined him.
⭐ WHITEWAY’S GOLD STAR – Sticky Toffee Pudding
Named after the prestigious ACU Gold Star, one of motorcycle racing’s highest honours and an award earned through exceptional achievement. Dad’s Gold Star represented years of dedication, determination and success at the very highest level of British motorcycle racing.
🍓 A LITTLE TRIFLE – British Trifle
Because behind all the trophies, records and racing leathers was simply Dad. A family man who loved Sunday dinners, desserts shared around the table, laughter, stories, and time spent with the people he loved. This cookie celebrates the man we knew at home.
🍋 STILL STANDING – Lemon Meringue Pie
Named in honour of the 24-hour world endurance record set at Monza and Le Mans alongside Eddie Crooks, George Anscheidt and Brian Ball. While others saw a fast motorcycle, Dad saw what it could become. It was his engineering expertise and preparation of the machine that helped carry the team to a record that still stands today. His ability to develop, improve and understand a motorcycle was so respected that Suzuki themselves acknowledged the impact his engineering skill had on their racing success. The record remains a lasting tribute to his talent, determination and ingenuity.
These cookies are more than flavours.
They are memories.
They are stories.
They are a reminder that while Dad may no longer be here, his legacy certainly is.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures. And to those missing someone special today, I’m thinking of you too.
