We didn't know what to expect (organizers included!) but it turns out a dimly lit cider & cheese tasting at the ol' country store was exactly what we needed. In this never-ending winter, we tucked in among the canned goods, bulk plumbing parts and the vintage cash register of the one and only .

Candles flickering in pickle jars, lots of laughter, and a room full of folks curious about natural cider- cooome on! what more could you want?!

The cider + cheese pairings were spot on (that fresh chèvre 🤤… still dreaming about it).

Huge thanks to the guys at Brook Village for hosting and making it all happen. What a gem of a store. And all of you who joined us for our first tasting!

Anyway, enough gushing. See ya at the next one

We’ll guide you through a lineup of thoughtfully paired ciders and cheeses. Some surprising, some “of course that works,” and maybe one that changes how you think about both.

Expect BIG flavours, a bit of storytelling, and a relaxed, cozy night out.

I know I keep showing you guys snow scapes. What can I say, making low intervention cider means slow winters.

Wild things- yeasts, apples, weather- will not be rushed. I'm learning to follow their lead. And often that means to leave the cider be and go skiing!

Speaking of skiing, we'll be bringing this cider crew to the sparkleball on March 7th. LOts music, friends, food by .foodandstuff, and skiing if you wish.

for all the details and tickets

Something about the smell of whisky I find is so moody and nostalgic. Like arriving in a new place, that somehow feels familiar. Or a stranger’s laugh you’re sure you’ve heard before.

Last season was our first foray using a wood barrel. Thankfully, we were able to get one just down the road, at Glenora distillery who had had their whisky in it since 2010 (!!). Freshly emptied, we rolled it back to the cidery and filled er up.

This one didn't last long- and we're sold out, but 2025s vintage coming atch you late spring!

Fermented for 7 months. Aged in Glenora whisky barrel (freshly emptied). Spontaneous fermentation. Unfiltered. Zero added sulphites.

Artwork by the very talented . Check our her prints for sale!

As always, made with 100% feral apples handpicked in Margaree, and western CB.

I’m back from a much-needed IG breather and feeling super grateful to have cider tucked bubbling away and gearing up for another year of this cider dance.

Last year was a big one for us; our first full year of sales, and it looked a little like this:
- Snow so high critters girdled trees above the guards
- Shook, climbed, and picked more apples than ever — all hand-harvested, always
- Unboxed some fancy gear (pump, press, BIG ol’ tank) and felt legit
- Had a ball slinging cider at a bunch of community events
- Took Margaree Cider to a few city markets for the first time and met some friendly folks
- Ate our weight in peaches, plums, grapes, raspberries, seabuckthorn… and apples
- Battled caterpillars leaf by leaf (RIP a few young trees)
- Played with new co-ferments - grapes & blueberries and a few more (some wins, some lessons)
- Landed Margaree Cider in restaurants for the first time
- Finished planting our orchard. And our oldest trees (planted ~ 5 years ago) started to produce apples.

Thank you to everyone who bought a bottle, sought us out, and supported our tiny cidery - especially our home community. It means everything.

Here’s to another year of experimenting, connecting, and galavanting around the hills of Margaree in search of the next special apple 🍏✨

2025 pressing season is officially in the books. We finished on a high note with our biggest pressing day yet and an incoming storm, just to add a little drama.

It was a banner apple year: we picked more and pressed more than we ever have, and I’m feeling so grateful for the friends and family who jumped in to help and make the whole harvest-pressing- whirlwind actually possible.

Now that the picking is done, I’m fully surrendering to November’s endless rain and long dark evenings...and prepare for Christmas markets and deliveries. Stay tuned !
