This Saturday! So thrilled to be teaming up with our dear neighbour, Jess, to chat about all things gardening. All are welcome - beginners and experts and everyone in between. We'll set up a little seed swap if you have any seeds you'd like to share as well.

Join Jess (Tumblew**d Botanicals) and Kailea (Patchwood Farm) for an afternoon to chat about all things gardening in and around Unama'ki - Cape Breton! Bring your questions and ideas and your hosts will guide a conversation through the ins and outs of growing and caring for plants in our changing climate.

Topics will be guided by participant interest, and could include: seed starting, soil building, water management, planting dates and microclimates, succession planning for continual harvesting, w**d and pest control, harvesting, extending your garden season...and more!

We're so grateful for the community that comes together every week - and for all the work that happens behind the scenes to make this market happen.

🍂✨️ It's the grand finale! ✨️🍂

Tomorrow is the last hoorah of the season at the Mabou Farmers Market!

There's been no frost yet here in Piper's Glen, so we'll have fresh bouquets for those Thanksgiving tables, alongside the veggies (bulk garlic! winter squash! hearty greens!).

We've also been having a lot of fun this week creating with dried florals - a wonderful way to enjoy local blooms all year long! We'll have everlasting bouquets of a variety of sizes and palettes, grapevine wreaths (some with garlic!) and a few more of those much-loved pumpkin centerpieces.

And we'll be bringing back our botanical ornaments! These were a favourite last year - elegant glass hanging ornaments filled with dried botanicals grown right here. And we'll even pop them in a gift box and wrap a bow on them for you! 🎄

Fall is in the air! Fresh flowers are joined on the market table today by our first dried florals of the season! They're a sweet way to bring local blooms into your spaces all year long!

Plenty of veggies on the tables too, of course! Garlic, kale, green onions, cucumbers, greens, chard, zucchini, parsley. And next week - winter squash! ❤️❤️❤️

With a little more chill in the air and first frost warnings on the horizon, we know that our fresh flower season will be winding down soon. But for now, we'll still have plenty of freshly cut flowers at the Mabou Farmers Market tomorrow!

Also, for this week only, we have eucalyptus shower bundles! Ready to hang, these smell amazing and are such a treat!

As always, we'll have a selection of seasonal veggies tomorrow - garlic, fresh herbs, green onions, kale, chard, cucumbers, zucchini, and so much more!

Everlasting florals are ✨️coming soon✨️ too - bouquets, wreaths, and some sweet pumpkin arrangements as Thanksgiving approaches.
