I can feel the arrival of September in my body.

There’s a little tightness in my chest, a flutter of nervousness, and suddenly my to-do list seems to have grown overnight. I find myself thinking about all the things I want to get done while there’s still warmth in the air and daylight to do them.

After the laid-backness of summer, September can bring a subtle urge to hurry.

But when I look at the flowers, they're telling me something different: slow down!

They remind me that I don’t need to rush through these last weeks of the season. That there is still so much to savour right here, right now.

That’s part of what I love about the Fall Flower Share.

Each week brings a new collection of seasonal blooms—an opportunity to pause, bring some beauty home, and stay connected to the season as it slowly changes.

Two more days to make a little space for flowers this fall - sign up before end of day Sept 2nd.

Not another thing to hurry through. Just a small, weekly invitation to pause, notice, and savour what the season is offering.

Happy Monday, it's almost September!

Here are a few photos of recent bouquets.

There's still so much abundance on the farm, even with the days shorter and the cool nights.

The September flower farm update has landed in subscribers' in boxes, letting them know that we have a fall flower share.

It's a 4-week subscription to bouquets of the flower fields' last hurrah!

Think Dahlias, Lisianthus, ornamental grasses, rich colours, lots of texture and movement!

Sign up before end of day on Wednesday.

Happy Monday!

It's always a delight to put together buckets of blooms.

These 2 were grower's choice, meaning that the customer didn't have a palette in mind, and I got to pick from what was doing best this week. I went with lots of colour, a variety of flower shapes and textures, plus some nice scents:

Peach Sunflowers
Poppy Pods
Giant Salmon Zinnia
Cactus orange Zinnia
Anise Hyssop
Feverfew
Mountain Mint
Chickpea greens
Pincushion Flowers
Ronan Regal Dahlia

🌈August is a month of abundance at the farm, so much is in bloom, it's a great time to order buckets, bouquets or arrangements.

Pick up is from the farm Monday to Saturday, or at all under one Roof in Durham on Thursdays.

Pre-orders only. Check out the website for all the details or send me a message.

Reminder about 2 fall events to put on your Calendar:
