A bigger water system isn’t automatically a better water system.

Toronto’s own guidance says the city’s drinking water contains relatively low levels of the calcium and magnesium responsible for hardness, which means water softening is usually unnecessary for most Toronto homeowners.

That doesn’t mean nobody needs treatment.
