Organics Family Farm We are open seasonally from mid June to October. Welcome to Organics Family Farm in Markham Ontario! Follow us on instagram!

We are a small certified organic family farm producing pick-your-own and ready picked strawberries, raspberries, apples and other produce. We operate an outdoor wood-fired oven in which we produce artisan bread and other baked goods. All our products and other organic goods are offered in our on farm market. The apple crop looks terrific this year. Today we are installing mating disruption lures to prevent codling moth and oriental fruit moth (worms) from laying eggs on the apples. The lures emit a pheromone that confuses the males and prevents them from mating the females.

Did you know our Organic strawberries are planted a full year ahead and then tucked in each winter with a cozy layer of oat straw. This “blanket” protects them from freezing weather, locks in the moisture, and blocks pesky weeds! Come spring, the straw keeps the ripening berries off the soil. 🍓
