No problems at Cornell Market. And apparently, no problems that can’t be fixed at Cornell Market either. 😂

Bad day? Sweet treat. Need to get out of the house? We’ve got events. Need a coffee and a little walk around the market? Say less. Need a random snack you’ve never tried before just because it looks good? We definitely have that too.

Whatever kind of pick-me-up you need, there’s probably something here for you.

See you at the market.

You’ll be creating your own spooky little Halloween house with Stampin’ Up — the perfect excuse to spend an evening at the market, get creative, and leave with something very cute to add to your Halloween decor.

Tickets are only available until October 8, so this is your reminder to get registered before sales close!

Send us a DM, stop by the market, or email [email protected] to grab your spot.

See you at the market!

New in the market this week: MyCheesecake.ca

We’ve teamed up with MyCheesecake.ca to bring their high-protein cheesecake bowls to Cornell Market, because a little sweet treat with extra protein? We’re very into that.

Each 4 oz cheesecake bowl is $6, and right now we have Oreo, Biscoff, and Tiramisu in the fridge.

They’re sugar-free, high-protein, and an easy little grab-and-go dessert when you want something sweet.

Come grab a flavour while they’re here and let us know which one needs to become a permanent market favourite.

October at Cornell Market …

The market is always here for the everyday stuff — shopping local and Canadian-made goods, discovering snacks from around the world, borrowing a book from our little library, grabbing a coffee, or stopping in for your after-work drink. But we also really love giving our community a reason to get together.

And October is FULL!!

Here’s what we have happening this month:

Saturday, October 17 — Halloween Mini Market Pop-Up
Thursday, October 22 — Market Gathering: Model Haunted House Creation
Friday, October 23 — Market Night: Magic at the Market
Monday, October 26 — PA Day Halloween Mini Market
Thursday, October 29 — Market Gathering: Art Collective
Friday, October 30 — Market Night: BOOS & Brews Halloween Paint Night

You can reserve your spot for any of our events right here in store or email us at [email protected]. Spaces are limited and some of our events fill up quickly, so don’t wait too long to grab yours.

And if you have your own reason to get people together, our space is available for private rentals and birthday parties too. Halloween parties, holiday gatherings, birthdays — come talk to us in store or send us an email and we’ll help you make it happen.

We’re open Monday–Saturday, 12–7 PM, closed Sundays.

Shop. Hang out. Try something new. Meet your neighbours.

We’ll see you at the market.

Today, we acknowledge the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for these lands since long before they were called Markham.

Cornell Market sits on the traditional territories of Indigenous Peoples of the Anishnabeg, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, Seneca, Chippewa and Mississaugas of the Credit peoples, within a region shaped by Treaty 13, the Williams Treaties and the Nanfan Treaty.

Today is the day of National Truth and Reconciliation and is a day to listen and learn.

To listen to Indigenous voices. To learn the history of the land we live, work and build community on. To honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, their families and their communities. And to recognize that reconciliation is ongoing work, not something reserved for one day each year.

As a space built around community, we believe part of being a good neighbour is understanding whose land we are fortunate enough to gather on and continuing to learn how we can do better.

Today, we’re making space for Indigenous voices. We encourage our community to do the same.

Looking for something fun for your kiddos to do this weekend? We’ve got you. 🫶🏽

Our next Mini Market is this Saturday from 10 AM–1 PM, and we have such a fun morning of painting planned. The kids will get creative with their own projects before coming together for a group activity where everyone gets to take a piece home.

We love these mornings for our youngest market community. They get a few hours to create, make friends and have fun right here in the neighbourhood… and you get a couple of hours to get some things done. Everybody wins. 😂

Want a spot? Comment below, send us a DM, or email [email protected] to register.

See you at the market.

Our last Market Night was such a good one.

We spent the evening turning denim into DIY wreaths, chatting around the tables, and even had a few little ones join their parents to create together. Just a really great night doing something different right here in the neighbourhood.

And we have two more Market Nights happening this week if you want in.

Market Art Collective — Thursday, 7–9 PM
Bring whatever you’re working on and spend the evening creating alongside others.

Paint Night — Friday, 7–9 PM
Our Paint Nights are always a favourite, and we’d love to have you at the table.

You don’t have to go far to find something fun to do. Stay close to home, meet some neighbours, try something new. We’ve got you.

Email [email protected] to reserve your spot.

See you at the market.

Paint Night is back… and this time we’re making it spooky.

Our Paint Nights have become one of our most popular Market Nights, so of course we had to bring one back for fall.

Join us Thursday, October 2 at 7 PM for the Halloween Edit. We’ll be painting this cozy-spooky fall scene together with guided instruction, so no experience is needed. Come with a friend, meet some neighbours, and spend the night creating something you’ll actually want to take home.

Tickets are $45 and include all supplies. Spaces are limited, and our previous Paint Nights have filled up, so don’t wait too long on this one.

Purchase your ticket in store or email [email protected] to reserve your spot.

See you at the market.

Tonight’s the night!

The market is all set up and ready for our Denim Wreath DIY Market Maker Night, and we cannot wait to fill these tables with neighbours getting creative together.

There’s something so fun about spending a Friday night making something with your own hands, chatting with new people, and doing something a little different right here in the neighbourhood.

We love watching the market transform into a space for nights like this, and we’re so excited to welcome everyone in tonight.

Now let’s make some wreaths.
