The plants…..and us humans….are loving the little bit of rain that fell in the last 24 hours. Veggies are growing like crazy. We are looking forward to providing for the Mayne Island Growers CSA boxes with fellow growers Hardscrabble Farm and Christina’s Garden. We will also have produce for the CSA table at the Mayne Island Market. Start up on June 13.

UPDATE: Thanks to those who have bought our delicious organically grown leeks this morning. We have harvested the remainder and they are in a cooler by the front door for pick up if you would like some of the yumminess.
2lb bunches for $8.00/bunch. 2 lbs is about 4 large leek or 6-7 mixed sizes. Cash or e-transfer to [email protected].

Come visit Maeva Lightheart, Glenda King and I at RavenVale Farm, 545 Glen Echo Road ( #16 on the Studio Tour Map). We will have original oil and acrylic paintings, cards, Christmas crafts and ornaments, dog toys and good company for a chat. Hope to see you there…10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.

It is a beautiful day for market today. We have loads of gorgeous tomatoes and lots of other great produce also. It is a full vendor day with great shopping local options. Hope to see you.

We look forward to seeing you at the Mayne Island Farmers Market today. The sunflowers stay in the garden for our bird friends but we will have a variety of yummy and healthy produce. It is the perfect tomatoe time for sauces, soups and salsas.
