Thank you to everyone who reached out and offered to help me with my lavender harvest this year! It warmed my heart 💜
Fortunately my leg is healing nicely. I iced it like my life depended on it and it really paid off. I've been able to get back to work, and begin harvesting again. I've got a few wonderful women helping out for the rest of the season, so I think we'll be ok to manage the rest of the harvest ☺️

So.... something else has happened.
I swear I feel like I cannot catch a break these days, but in this case, I'm glad I didn't break anything!
After feeling good enough to do some harvesting, I had to move a motorcycle to get to my hog fan. Unfortunately the motorcycle won the battle and left me pinned between it and a pile of wood... 🤕 Ouch!
Fortunately nothing is broken, but I am very bruised, and I will be completely out of commission for the next little while.
If anyone is available to harvest lavender, send me a DM 🙃

AN UPDATE FOR SUMMER 2026...

I have been putting off making this announcement, because it's been difficult to accept my current reality.
As some of you may know, I fell ill last September with a neurological disease. It has been a lot harder than I expected to get a diagnosis and subsequent treatment. I was hoping to be in better shape by now, but unfortunately it has taken a lot longer than I had hoped for to improve.
Although I have seen some recent improvement with new medication, I'm still not well enough to resume working. Therefore, The Purple Hollow farm will remain closed for the 2026 season.
This means that there will be no Lavender Festival this year (2026), and the farm will be closed to all except those who have already booked photography sessions.
I will continue to focus on getting better, and I will make sure that my beautiful lavender plants are well cared for so that we can welcome you again next year!
I am very hopeful that I'll be able to return to work in the new year. In the meantime, thank you for your understanding, kindness, and continued support. It truly means a lot to me. 💜
