With bull sale season in full swing, we felt it was important to share an update from our crew. The purebred cattle industry means a great deal to us, and building our program from the ground up has taught us to stand firmly behind the cattle we raise. When you flip through the 83 South Simmental Bull Sale catalogue this year, you won’t find any bulls consigned by Lone Star Simmentals. This wasn’t a decision we made lightly, but it was one we felt was necessary. We’re simply not interested in selling bulls we aren’t 100% proud of or genetics we don’t fully stand behind. Between an incredibly busy 2025 season and preparing to welcome a new addition to our family in the coming weeks, being away during sale week just didn’t feel right. It was a tough decision but we know it’s the right one.
That said, we know the offering at the 83 South Simmental Bull Sale will be strong, and we have no doubt you’ll be impressed with the bulls consigned by Bar O Farms, Downey Farms, and Moore Bros Simmentals. We wish everyone nothing but success this 2026 bull sale season and we look forward to being back in the catalogue next year!

Congratulations to the Ashworth family on a great sale this year! We were able to snag this great jr herd sire! When we toured the bulls earlier in the year 71M was hard to miss! Even though we had originally been looking for a black heifer bull once we seen him we knew he needed to be in our heifer pen! We are extremely excited to get this guy in front of some females in a couple weeks!

Congratulations to the Dave and Krista on a great sale today! We are excited to get this down right awesome RF Caliber son home and breeding this year! When we toured Erixon’s, 121M caught our eye every time with his performance and muscle tone and style this is the bull we’ve been looking for to add performance!

Sired by the highly successful Mader Son of Anarchy and back to a SVS Dynasty x Maple Lake 5226C cow! We’ve used Mader Son of Anarchy in our heifer pen for a few years now and are always impressed on how well he calves out and we feel Kristof will do the same!

Our other heifer bull on offer comes to you in a red blaze out of a no miss R+ 8087F cow we’ve raised, Lonestar Mixtape 22M is a cool twist on pedigree sired by Wheatland Express Way 149J. You have to see Mixtape in person to really appreciate all his features!

There is no better feeling then when a breeding plan like this comes together! These full brothers are the result of the convental flush we did on our donor cow Maple Lake 5226C! This flush also gave us 3 females in the replacement pen that are at the top of our replacement pen! If you’re looking for longevity and predictably look no further!
