Piedmont Valley Farms "Piedmont Valley Farms...Permaculture in Progress...
Naturally the place your pet wants to stay when you're away!

Piedmont Valley Farms has been focused on sustainable and ecological farming and forestry practices since purchasing this old farm property in the year 2000. We began permaculture farming in 2015 by cultivating naturally grown gardens and investing in a small flock of pasture-grazed poultry for eggs. In January 2016, we opened our new dog day care & boarding facility, expanded the gardens & the la

yer hen flock, and became a CFNS CERTIFIED FREE RANGE CHICKEN producer of 'Nova Free Rangers'. (2021 note - Nova-Ranger chicks are no longer available locally, so we now produce only the 'Meat King' variety). (update: 2024 no longer growing chicken)
We preserve small batches of our farm-grown fruit & interesting wildflower jellies... all made with fair-trade organic sugar. We also grow varieties of fresh & dried culinary herbs & delicious berry leaf tea blends, and bake healthy "Beggin' Hearts & Bones" for our doggy pals. All our farm products are available from the farm gate by appointment and at our vendor table at The Old School Markets in Barney's River Station on Fridays, 4 - 7 pm, in July through September, and The New Glasgow Farmer's Market on the last Saturday of each month. 9 to 1
We produce naturally fresh nutrition and provide good dogs a 'home away from home' while their people work or travel!

Happy to report that almost one week after the theft, regular phone service has been restored to the Farm! For a little while, I was getting my neighbours' calls, but hopefully they finally straightened that all out.
Once again, calling on the telephone is the best way to be in contact! (902)926 2634 Chat soon!

UPDATE! to the Update! Actually, my phone service has not been restored. I can call out, but calls in are apparently being routed elsewhere. Please continue to contact me via email [email protected]! Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience. I will update again when this is worked out!
UDATED! Phone services restored... clear as a Bell! Calling on the phone remains the most reliable way to contact me... 902 926 2634

My phone has been out of order since sometime overnight on Friday, May 22nd. The Bell repair person was just here to let me know that THIEVES have stolen the main copper line near the Avondale Cross Rd. There is also a burgundy Ford truck stuck off the road near the same location, with the plate removed. Related, perhaps, stolen maybe?
There is no real estimate on when my phone service will be restored, and I do not frequent Facebook often, so if you need to be in contact, please email [email protected].

Trudi is scheduled to be a vendor at the Flourish After Dark Market this Saturday evening from 6 - 10 pm with a variety of her farm-grown perennial landscape and berry transplants, her farm fruit preserves (made with local honey, maple syrup, or organic sugar), and her hand-cut ginger-snap doggy treats. Drop by to say hello and enjoy a Flourish evening.

We are very excited to be a participating venue in Flourish After Dark coming up this Saturday night, May 2 from 6pm until 10pm.

We are showcasing loads of talented artists and artisans and this year we have even more delicious food and of course, ice cream!

Don't worry, there's still a traditional market Saturday morning too, this is a double header!

We'll have seating outside so you can enjoy the live music on the Breeze stage presented by
