Gray Art Glass was founded by Kevin Robert Gray in 1985. His hard work, generosity and dedication to his craft established Gray Art Glass’ position as a leading institution in the North American Glass art scene. Best known for creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art, sculptural glass and decorative housewares, our work has been featured in over 250 galleries and shops across North America. Kevin Gray
passed-on his love of glass to his youngest son Michael, who started working by his father’s side at the age of 13. Michael went on to further his craft, graduating from Sheridan College’s Craft and Design Glassblowing program. He then continued his education under Rik Allen and Shelley Muzylowski at the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, WA., where he studied hot glass sculptural techniques with an emphasis on torch-work and assembly of fabricated glass pieces. In 2012 Kevin passed away after a courageous fight with cancer and Michael stepped in, taking over the family business. Since then Michael has strived to develop his unique voice as an artist, pushing his creative boundaries by creating large scale glass sculptural art and installation pieces, modern lighting and beautiful unique glassware. Michael has had the pleasure of participating in various exhibits, shows and galleries across North America, such as the Artist Project, The Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and The One of a Kind Show. Michael’s passion for his craft, high standards of quality and creative vision are what has keep Kevin Gray’s legacy alive. This year we celebrate the 37th anniversary of Gray Art Glass’ founding. We are proud of how far we've come and look forward to continuing to embody creativity, professionalism and exceptional customer service! Thanks for visiting!
