The Blueberry Place Pick your own organic blueberries in our woodland setting near Midland Ontario. Please bring your own containers! The 2023 opening date is July 20th.

We invite you to come and experience picking certified organic blueberries on our 2-acre patch which is nestled in a beautiful woodland setting. The numerous varieties of high and low-bush blueberries provide an amazing selection of sizes, flavours, and sweetnesses for eating, freezing, jamming, and baking. We welcome you to pick, walk the trails or enjoy a picnic lunch in this beautiful setting.

Blueberry Picking extended by 2 days!!!!
Hello everyone, We have decided to extend our blueberry picking season by 2 extra days. Please note the change in hours to the extended days.

So....we are open: Saturday August 9 from 8am to 4pm
& Sunday August 10 from 9am to 4pm

Our extra days: Monday August 11 from 8am to 12 noon
& Tuesday August 12 from 8am to 12 noon

There is still plenty of good picking in the Blue Gold and Blue Crop varieties. Hope to see you all out.

There is a heat warning for the next 3 days. Please remember to bring a hat and plenty of water. Picking earlier in the morning will avoid some of this extreme heat.

LAST 5 DAYS OF BLUEBERRY PICKING!!!!!
Hello Blueberry friends, Yes, that's right, we are heading into the last 5 days of the 2025 blueberry picking season. Our closing date is tentatively set for Sunday August 10th. If we extend the date I expect it will be for only 1 or 2 extra days, or at most 3 days.

Picking is still good in most mid to late season varieties: Patriot, Blue Crop, Northland and Blue Gold. It has been a plentiful crop of some of the tastiest and sweet berries this year.

The weather for the next five days is not co-operating as we head into another stretch of hot and humid weather with little chance of rain. Pickers are coming out early in the day and although there is often a dew, it is cooler and picking is quick.

As the summer slips away so quickly(again), we hope to see you one last time or for the first time in the next few days.

Hello Blueberry Place friends, We are entering our last week of picking and there are still lots of berries left to be picked.
We are open the holiday Monday from 8am to 4pm.
Our hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 8 to 4 and Sunday 9 to4.
Our last day for picking this season is next Sunday August 10th.

We have reached that point where the early, mid and late season berries are all ready. There are berries everywhere to pick and quickly! The bushes are balanced with fruit and new growth and this has made the berries extra sweet and tasty this year, especially with all the heat.

Blue Gold, our last variety to ripen, are plump and ready to be picked. We know many of you wait for this variety.

We guarantee be open until Sunday August 10th. After this date we will evaluate on a day to day basis if the quality of the berries is still good and plentiful. Getting out earlier is always better than later. It is a plentiful season and an opportunity to put some extra berries away.

We have already squirrelled away some berries in our freezer, so if you are unable to make it out or need more now or during the year just email us and we can arrange a berry exchange.

Blueberry friends, We are opening tomorrow!! Saturday July 19. We will be open everyday now Monday thru to Saturday 8am to 4 pm and Sundays 9am to 4pm.

The pick your own price this year is $3.90/lb.

Hello Blueberry Friends, We are waiting, watering, waiting and watering some more.

I imagine many of you are wondering if you have missed the berries but you have not. The cool spring has put things on a normal schedule. Even this heat wave has not rushed ripening along very much.

We expect in the next 5-7 days to open and we guarantee 3 solid weeks of picking from that date.
