And just like that… our last chicken butcher day of the 2026 season is here!

It’s hard to believe another season of raising our meat chickens has already come and gone. From those tiny little chicks arriving in the spring to watching them grow out on pasture, it’s been another busy (and rewarding!) season here on the farm.

There’s a lot of work that goes into raising these birds, and butcher days are always a big one — but there’s also something pretty satisfying about seeing the freezer stocked with food we’ve raised right here at home.

A big thank you to everyone who supported our farm and brought our pasture-raised chickens home this year. ❤️

Summer Update from the Farm

Some days I look around and wonder where the summer has gone.

The days have been full—early mornings, late nights, moving animals, fixing fences, checking water, and trying to keep up with everything that comes with this season. It’s exhausting at times, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.

There are moments when I pause, watch the sheep grazing, hear the chickens scratching around the yard, or catch a beautiful sunrise, and I’m reminded why i chose this life. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s one that feels meaningful.

Running a small farm isn’t something i do alone. Every order you place, every post you share, and every conversation you have about buying local truly makes a difference. Your support helps us continue raising healthy animals, caring for our land, and building the kind of farm i dreamed of.

Thank you for following along, cheering me on, and being part of the journey. hope you’re enjoying these beautiful summer days & excited for all that’s still to come this season.
