NB As I had cancelled the event a FULL REFUND will be e-trf'ed to all who paid. A resheculed date is being discussed, but, it is not going to happen this Sunday. I will keep you informed. It's still drizzling, off and on. Ware Creek's flowing wellbut still a few feet lower than flood levels. A little lower than the 29th July last year......But it's still early 😉

Being a wetter day, the bridges all had water flowing under them. Coda rides all the bridges. This was just before my camera battery ran out. Fortunately Carol and Jane cane to the rescue and pictures were taken. I'll post some, in 'the fullness of time' :) BTW Coda was not in the Barn picture, but he was the one rider I had camera battery for :) He was riding Gabe who belongs to Bev Creed.

Hey Folks. As per my last post. the competition was cancelled. That said. there was an offer to come out and ride if you wanted. So, on that rainy Sunday, 8 'All Weather' riders came out and had some fun. Basically the day was set up to happen, so we did a walk the course and practice time. Come event timem the riders rode in order of their devisions and were heartily supported by the rest. There was no judging or timekeeping and plenty of help from friends. It turned into one of the best fun/play days I;ve ever attended. The track was wet enough to add a different degree of difficulty, and the Creek was rising. But, the riders all wanted to be there and to challenge themselves and their horses. Thank you everyone for making it worthwhile.

Apologies to all who anticipated a grand day at the Wareabouts. After consultation with my Head Judge. THE SPRING WAREABOUTS COWBOY TRAIL CHALLENGE IS OFFICIALY CANCELLED TODAY! This may well be a postponement to another date in the near future, but consultations will be held prior to that announcement. 😢

IT's WCTC day and this is what the Wareabouts arena is looking like right now. It only started to drizzle at after 11 last night. It was very light. Up to now we've had 12mm of rain. We have started the competition with a wetter track than this. And, am prepared to make a day of it. It's still raining and forecast for a drizzly day. Cold and miserable. It's 5C here right now. I have 5 riders on site and willing to ride, but I'll be sending a letter out to all participants and volunteers, to judge for a response of their availablity. It's a tough call, but this is not a "Spruce Meadows" sanctioned event. 😉

FYI. The SPRING WAREABOUTS TRAIL CHALLENGE CARD IS FULLY SUBSCRIBED. This is exciting! I'm looking forward to a grand competition. Thank you for setting up the entry forms Vienna :) Ware Creek will be flowing well, but don't worry, the bridge is high enough to cross it....on the way back LOL

Peaches went home this week. Ryan got to have a good trail ride out here before she left. I'm wishing them all the best and many HAPPY TRAILS :)
