Sometime yesterday afternoon a pair of foxes somehow entered the pen where we have our meat chickens. They killed 21 of our 28 and took 12 away, leaving 9 for us to find. It was devastating. The worst loss we have ever had. They buried one in our potato bed and we caught it on trail cam retrieving it. We raised them from day olds and they were only 7 weeks old. I have never felt so angry, saddened and stunned. I have always liked foxes, but now we are at war.

Said goodbye to our first guests of the season today. This is their 4th visit. Their children love the goats and the goats love them. The next guests arrive on the 22nd, then a 3 night stay on the 28th. Most of the weekends in June and July are fully booked. Our AirBnB is still going strong!
