Tuckaway Farm, Apiary & Apothecary is a mixed farm & wildcrafted apothecary in Katalisk, Ktaqmkuk / Millville, Codroy Valley, Newfoundland by Megan Samms & Ash Hall. Look here to find regeneratively grown produce, cut flowers, honey & beeswax items & more from the land. You'll also find ethically wildcrafted botanical body care goods like soap, herbs, tinctures, infused oils, distillations & other
wildcrafted plant based remedies. We're dreamers & doers here at Tuckaway - we plant heritage, open pollinated and organic seeds & tend them to fruition by amending our plots with compost & mulch. Our simple work is toward a simple goal to provide whole & hardy, local food to local people - you! We live on our farm in reciprocity with them & care firstly for their needs. We plant species that are nectar & pollen givers creating a habitat rich in forage & honeybee safety. All of the items in our apothecary are crafted the folk method - by our hands; we slowly infuse & macerate, dehydrate & distill. With the best of intentions & love of the land we source high quality, raw butters & oils to infuse with local botanicals to create infused oils, balms, salves, nutrient dense hydrolats, soap & more in re-fillable or compostable packaging. We’re organizers too. We put together Makers & Gardeners Markets around Codroy Valley and we organize bulk organic food purchasing through Speerville Flour Mill; please send us a message or give us a call for more infos about those. Launching in Spring 2022 is the Live Textiles Artist in Residency in the Loom Shed on the farm. There will be 4 different artists (as well as Megan) practicing their arts in the loom shed throughout the season - when you drop in you can look at their work, visit & ask questions. Keep your eye out for various workshops, artist talks and shows too! Find Megan’s textile work at https://livetextiles.online
