A core value at Green Care Farms is our integration within our community. Community days offer the public an opportunity to get outside in a beautiful farm setting and lend a hand with maintenance in our sensory garden space. This includes some weeding, watering and pruning. We provide the tools and some treats! We are always happy to see new faces, and are appreciative of our dedicated volunteers. Caring for someone you love can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be emotionally heavy. When you are holding someone else’s pain, it is important to notice what you are feeling, process it, and give yourself the same care and compassion you offer to others.

At Green Care Farms, we recognize that caregivers may also be experiencing stress, exhaustion, or burnout. Through our community days and day programs, we aim to create spaces rooted in nature, reflection, and connection that support both those receiving care and the people who care for them. If you are not able to attend in person, you can still stay connected by joining our newsletter for updates, resources, and upcoming opportunities. 🌿

At Green Care Farms, our vision is clear: a care farm for people living with dementia in every community in Canada 🌻

Through our education and consulting, we aim to inform, inspire, and equip aspiring care farmers, caregivers, and communities with the tools, training, and support to build more meaningful models of care. We know that caregivers may also be carrying stress, exhaustion, or burnout, which is why we believe education, connection, and community support matter just as much as the care itself.

From our courses on starting a care farm and consulting to our day programs, community days, and shared learning opportunities, we are working to grow a more human, nature-rooted approach to care.
