Millbank Flower Farm Farmer Florist, Bulk flowers, Arrangements for events, Flower Subscriptions. They have maintained this for over 30 years. This changed our family dynamics.

Our folks live in a small village in Millbank, Ontario on a small farm right in the town. In January 2019, our beautiful mom passed away suddenly. Our father was as you can imagine quite lonely without our mom. They did everything together. We each have families and careers and suddenly we were going to the farm every week checking on dad. Then Covid came, we were in charge of more responsibility

, buildings to maintain, our father and our own worlds. To say it was an eye opener is mild. Two sisters in charge of two properties, taking care of our dad and our own worlds during Covid. We would take video to record just what was on our plates and how we are going to deal with this. We would try to make our dad laugh to cheer him up. This became the beginning of the Kim and Penny show. That’s a whole other topic. As we continued to spend time at the farm and with dad we starting cleaning up around and began building raised beds, tilling old ones, making new ones, planting vegetables and some flowers. We soon realized we loved it, our dad loved us being there more but more importantly the experience we had reconnecting through this sad and lonely time with growing vegetables and flowers. It is unbelievable to grow something and sell it and see how many people it affects. Pure happiness but a flower. That was a huge eureka moment. A new journey has started. Through hard work, blood, sweat and tears, we are growing flowers to sell to local florists, grocery stores and markets as well as the public.

There’s something extra special about getting these beautiful photographs back and seeing our flowers become part of someone’s wedding day. 🤍
Sarah came to Millbank Flower Farm through our longtime friend Marie, who recommended us when Sarah was planning her wedding at Marie’s beautiful property.
Her vision was soft and romantic — mostly white, touches of blush pink and little pops of yellow and blue — with that loose, natural, just-picked-from-the-garden feeling we love so much.
And it wasn’t just the bouquet. We carried that woodland garden feeling through the table florals too, creating little arrangements in vintage-style vessels with natural wood from our property and seashell details.
From growing and cutting the flowers here at the farm to designing them for the wedding, and then finally seeing them in photographs like these… this is the part we LOVE. 🌿

Sometimes Mother Nature has other plans… 🌿🌧️🌸
We loved creating the florals for Arly’s beautiful wedding day.
There were hours of designing at the farm, bouquets being carefully put together, two BIG arrangements created for the ceremony wine barrels, and then that very satisfying moment when everything was loaded into the car and ready for delivery.
And then…the storm rolled in. 😳
Those big wine-barrel arrangements? They had to come down and sit safely on the ground.
Not exactly how we pictured them when we were making them! 😂
But then Arly shared the professional photos with us — and WOW. They are absolutely stunning.
It’s such a wonderful feeling to see flowers that started in our fields, passed through our hands in the design studio, travelled with us to the venue, survived a little wedding-day weather drama…and became part of these beautiful memories.

This very thick stemmed bouquet was made for a birthday girl! What a nice husband putting in this order of mostly purple for his birthday girl. The stems were so thick from all the irises, peonies, lupins and Baptista that Kim could hardly get a good hold of it.
