While we’re all looking forward to some warmer summer weather, we’re making the most of these cozy days with warm coffees on the patio, crisp morning walks around the lake, and a hot coffee or tea in hand. After all, our Manitoba summers are far too short not to soak up every moment. What a wonderful weekend here at the Farmhouse! 💛

We want to send out a huge thank you to our amazing customers and community for all of the support during our garage sale this weekend. It was such a joy seeing so many friendly faces stop by, shop, visit, and support our little corner of the valley.

An extra special thank you goes out to everyone who purchased donuts from our lovely little entrepreneurs on the patio — seeing their excitement and enthusiasm was truly heartwarming and brought so much joy to the weekend! 🍩✨

Today, we’re busy back in the kitchen stocking up the grab & go cooler with lots of fresh salads, homemade goodies, and plenty of delicious treats for the week ahead. The ovens have been working overtime all morning filling the Farmhouse with the smell of freshly baked, from-scratch pastries and baked goods.

We’re also incredibly excited to be using our very first harvest of fresh herbs and edible flowers from our own gardens in this week’s dishes and drinks. It truly doesn’t get much more locally grown than that! 🌿🌸

And can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful the valley is right now? The lake is absolutely gorgeous, the beaches are in pristine condition, everything is lush and green, and the trails are alive with nature. It’s such a special time to make the trip out and enjoy all our sweet little valley town has to offer.

Our patio is open and looking beautiful, and honestly there’s no better place to soak up this gorgeous summer weather — sunshine, fresh air, good food, and a little slower pace of life. ☀️🌿

Welcome back after a lovely — yet chilly — Manitoba May long weekend! We hope you all had a chance to relax, recharge, and soak up a little fresh air! 💨

We’re starting the week off strong at The Farmhouse and getting busy in the kitchen preparing some of our signature potato salad and fresh couscous salad for the grab & go cooler. Speaking of the cooler… it’s also loaded up with peanut butter cheesecake cups and plenty of other homemade goodies ready for you to enjoy throughout the week.

We’re kicking off the May long weekend and we’ve got plenty of delicious things ready to share with you at the Farmhouse this weekend. Whether you’re heading to the lake, hitting the road, gathering with friends and family, or just enjoying a slower long weekend close to home, make sure to stop in and stock up on all your favourites before the weekend festivities begin.

Our Grab & Go cooler is fully stocked with homemade favourites including:

• Dill Pickle Pasta Salad
• Cranberry Walnut Quinoa Salad (gluten-free)
• Cheesecake Cups for a sweet treat later on

Don’t forget that you can also pick up one of our assorted pastry boxes loaded with homemade pastries and treats that are sure to please any guest this weekend.

Friday’s Lunch Feature is a brand new one and we think it’s going to become a customer favourite in no time — our Everything Bagel Cream Cheese Chicken & Bacon Burger. A juicy chicken breast topped with crispy bacon, our own house made everything bagel whipped cream cheese, lettuce, red onions, and tomatoes, piled high between a grilled garlic brioche bun. It’s a mouthful in more ways than one.
