Some of this years offerings from my treat boxes!!
First time doing a stacked sugar cookie tier! Have to say I'm a huge fan and want to create more elaborate items in the future!
Classic signature vanilla bean sugar cookies
Peppermint meringue melting snowmen
Brown butter Christmas crackers cookies
Ginger molasses cookies

*I also made amazingly delicious brown buttered cranberry white chocolate brownies but haven't had the opportunity to photograph them yet!

I used your sugar cookie bar recipe and it was 100% sleigh all the way.
No, I will not be apologizing for the pun! After a rigorous month of holiday prep and baking for others I wanted a treat for myself.
These came together beautifully and quickly and they will be making the nice list next year in my holiday treat boxes.

We're still exploring the softer side of Halloween in our house!
I thought I would switch it up and use Buttercream instead of Royal Icing. I am using vegan buttercream as it is counter stable and doesn't require refrigeration.
What do you prefer the soft bite of buttercream on a cookie or the crispy sweetness of royal icing!?!

I had a vision and this was it completely.
2 layers of chocolate cake, filled with a whipped milk chocolate ganache.
As always, money cannot buy happiness - but it can buy cake.

The theme:
Halloween birthday party for a 2 year old girl!
I think I nailed it.
Vegan cupcakes, sugar cookies and cake!
There's a lot of stigma that vegan baking isn't as delicious as it's carnivorous counterpart- I'm here to tell you - that's just not true.
You don't have to sacrifice flavor and textures because of dietary wants, needs or restrictions!
As always money can't buy happiness but it can buy cake - and that's the next best thing!

Today is the last day of Senior Kindergarten for Clark. I wanted to create something that captures the whimsy of childhood while paying homage to his teachers.
So I went with classic children stories!
(Not featured are the Green Eggs and ham set I made for his bus driver)
I always struggle with what to treat educators to, but feel like you can never go wrong with cookies.
The hardest part was narrowing it down to certain books - we love them all!

They say it's what's on the inside that counts.
It's buttercream. That's what's on the inside.
Chewy monster cookies with lightly crispy edges. Mini M&Ms, chocolate chunks, peanuts, oatmeal, peanut butter.... next time I think they need pretzels.
Perfect for kids and those of us who are still kid like at heart.

Easter offers the promise of spring.
So here is my tribute to the coming of warmer weather and my love of all things baked.
Wishing you all a happy Easter here's to warmer weather and things made with butter and sugar.
Money cannot buy happiness - but it can buy you cookies and cake, isn't that the same!?!

There is something so alluring about the smell of freshly baked cake!
This is lemon scented vanilla bean.
I am always trying to tweak recipes and I think the biggest challenge for me is trying to make one that is as good as box mix - without the box mix.
I have no hate for boxed cake mix, but I prefer to DIY myself.
But it's a fine whisk between airy and dense when it comes to over mixed batter.
What's your favorite flavor of cake!?!

Why two seemingly identical photos?
The first box is classic vanilla with Swiss meringue buttercream.
The brown paper cupcakes are gluten friendly and vegan.
Food allergies/sensitivities are very real.
I try to make them as visually different as I can while being true to the clients vision.
I use separate bowls and tools for specialty items.
I cannot claim to never have cross contamination but I work very hard to ensure that it doesn't occur.
I also taste test everything I bake to ensure that every item leaving my kitchen is the best.
It's a tough job but someone has to do it.
