Steeped Tea was started in 2006 when Tonia Jahshan and her husband Hatem went on vacation. They tasted loose leaf tea for the first time and fell in love. They took their new found addiction home to their family and friends, and saw they were having numerous tea parties a month to share their love of tea. With the help of David Chilton and Jim Treliving from Dragon's Den, it grew into a business.
