Yesterday, at the Market, one of our customers was chatting about Turner’s Christmas at the Coliseum. She asked if I was going to be in my usual booth.
I said no. I bowed out of doing the show this year and, going forward, I won’t be participating.
She was quite surprised, as she’s been going to the show for 20+ years and has always seen me there. I told her that I surprised myself by bowing out, but it’s a good decision for me right now.
Being asked about it got me thinking that I ought to post something publicly.
It’s a fantastic show that I’ve been part of for 25+ years—first with Greg & Claudette Turner, who were always so good to me and to the fellow vendors, and for the past several years with Joe & Leola Savoie organizing and running the show. Greg & Claudette left the show in excellent hands.
I’ll miss being part of it, but again, it’s a good decision for me right now. And I will absolutely attend as a regular customer—that’s for sure! 😊
