A HEARTBREAKING DAY AT THE FARMSTAND.
We’re deeply disappointed to share that our farmstand lock box was stolen. Even more upsetting, our neighbours’ farmstand was targeted as well.
Bellamae Acres is a small family-run business, built with long hours, hard work, and a whole lot of love. Our farmstand is our way of sharing what we make with the community while encouraging people to shop local and support a small family farm.
We know theft happens, but it’s especially disheartening when small local businesses are targeted. Every dollar matters to a family business.
And to the person who did this: You didn’t just take a lock box. You took advantage of a small family business and the trust that allows community farmstands like ours to operate. You should be ashamed of yourself for taking from people who are simply trying to make an honest living and provide something positive for their community. We hope whatever you gained from this was worth the disappointment you caused.
Because more than one farmstand in our area was affected, we’re asking our neighbours to keep an eye out for anything suspicious around local farmstands, roadside stands, and other small businesses. If you noticed anything unusual or have information about what happened, we’d truly appreciate hearing from you.
We believe our community should be built on trust, honesty, and looking out for one another. ❤️
