I apologize for what I am going to say now. 😔
I just got an email from one of our couriers we use to send out larger orders to our retail customer. You guessed right - they are once more increasing the transportation rates. 😣

So that made me think about how much the rates have increased since last year. I pulled an invoice from a year ago where I made a note of what the shipment was and how much I paid for it.
The rates increased (I checked several orders) around 20%!!!! 😳
I knew it was more, but I didn't expect it to be this high to be honest.
We are very proud to say that we managed to not increase our prices, but that was an eye opener.

So Micha and I have to sit down and see what we can do. 🤔

But be assured, we will never alter the quality of our products. Never!

There! This is what our system showed us this morning. 🌞

Our first solar system went on the grid in Feb 2014. Since then, we have produced 100,000 kw in total.
We think that is amazing - especially the fact that this system has still 💯% efficiency. 👏

Yesterday we drove to Halifax and back with our "Sunny", aka our EV, via Ferry. Delivering products to The Kilted Chef, Masstown Butcher Shop & Creamery and Made in the Maritimes Artisan Boutique Inc.
The car was charged with that energy we produced and we made it back home without recharging (we had 11% power left). That is what we call energy efficient!

We’ve been using their Dijon Coarse Mustard for many things like our Caesar Dressing, in our Sun-dried Tomato Aioli for the Italian Sandough and even some in our Grinder Sauce. To be honest, we even ate their Maritimer mustard with our ham dinner last night!

🧄 Roasted Garlic mustard from Atlantic Mustard Mill
🍅 Tomatoes from VK Greenhouses
🥬 Crisp green lettuce (or try Soleil's Farm greens for an extra local touch!)
🥄 Mayo
🌶 Pepper
🍋 And a fresh squeeze of lemon

Simple, fresh, and honestly SO good. You have to try this combo!

It's been a week since we are back from our vacation.
That is why you haven't heard from us so much. 😎
This vacation was so much needed. It has been a tough year with lots of ups and downs and very long hours of work and just an occasionally day off. There are a lot of anxiety when you run a business. But that also means that you love our mustards and that kept us going. 🧡🧡🧡

Micha and I enjoyed the time off, we read a lot, did a lot of work outs (we have to stay strong 💪), made new friends, laughed a lot, explored the world and made a lot of memories, met old friends and most important our families.

Now, we are back in the saddle and try to catch up. The online orders are shipped (thank you so much for your patience and enjoy the extra treat we added) and we made over 300 kg of fresh mustard. This week we are going to drive around and make a lot of deliveries.

Let's spread some love and mustard. 💞
