RK Cattle Co. RK Cattle Co. is a Cow Calf and Purebred Seedstock Operation located in Moorefield, ON. Visitors are always welcome.

The Reid family has operated a Commercial based black cow herd for over 40 years. Over the past 15 years they have developed a purebred herd of Shorthorn cows and recently expanded into purebred Angus and Simmental breeds. The RK family includes Keith and Janet, their sons Sandy and his wife Sandra along with their sons Gus and Corbin. Andy and his wife Melissa and daughter Susy and husband Jeff a

nd their children Will, Scott and Sam. The family is actively participates in agriculture

Sandy manages the farm with purebred Shorthorn, Angus and Simmental herds around 100 cows from which he selects a few each year to show. He strives to select cattle that will perform on the farm as well as in the show ring. There is always a selection of heifers and young bulls for sale at the farm.

Sometimes the greatest things take patience.

We at RK Cattle Co would like to wait no longer on the opportunity to let you own semen on the great ๐’๐ข๐ฑ ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ ๐ข๐จ.

Bellagio was a standout at the 50th annual Six Mile bull sale, and with ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ฉ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐˜€ fathering many champions, and being very hard to acquire in Canada, we feel we have found a son that can better our program and yours.

From shape to style and dimension to depth, we have found a bull that will do your program tremendous good.

We sure are super excited about this one!

COB 215L has the statistics and phenotype we strive for at RK Cattle Co.

He himself is a black red carrier, and that sure doesnโ€™t leave him at any disadvantage.

His average birthweights for 2025 offspring were 63 pounds and an average daily gain of 2.65 pounds per day.

His January calves averaged 602 pounds at weaning July 17th, 2025. His calves went on to average $6.80 per pound at market.

The 2025 females we retain in herd were built with maternal and easy doing traits that we are striving for.

We are proud that we are seeing the improvement that the red angus and black red carriers are bringing to the RK Program today and in the future.
