Hello..
Hey Everyone!
So i am going to give you a little background story... my name is Lisa Olfert, I grew up in Hillmond, SK (just outside of Lloydminster) so i have been around here all my life. I went to college for Professional Cooking, but i have always been a baker whether it was making cookies with my mom or baking cakes for classmates birthdays i always want to create some tasty treats. So when i was in college doing my course i loved the bakeshop days especially the cakes days cause we got to create some awesome cakes and baked goods. The first real cake i worked on outside of school was a wedding cake for my husbands cousin. I got to make all the gumpaste flowers for it. Fast forward a few years later and i started to make cakes for my family. Mainly birthday cakes and special occasions. It wasn’t until with the last 3 years that i got into it a lot more. Now I have done a lot more cakes and I love every second of it! Every cake I make is homemade from scratch, No Boxed mixes here! when I get to make gumpaste flowers each one is carefully made by hand and a lot of time and effort go into them.
