One word comes to mind with this bull: longevity.

Mushu comes from a cow family built to last. His dam has the best udder on the farm - excellent attachment and ideal teat size that any calf can easily nurse from. His maternal granddam stayed productive until 14 years of age, and on the top side of his pedigree, his paternal granddam Rendezvous MS Para 591Y is still working at 15.

Mushu should leave you perfect udders on productive females, while still adding performance and a dark red hide from his paternal grandsire LHVS Charles 29C, along with docility and muscle from his maternal grandsire Anchor D Austin 658C.

Take a look at 9M - Marvelous

A Durazo son that’s easy to find in the pen.

Marvelous packs loads of hair and pigment, with a deep rib and a powerful hindquarter. The bedding pack was a little deep the day we pictured him, but I’ll assure you he stands on excellent feet.

His dam, Harvest Moon, is a moderate-framed cow quickly building a strong production record. We liked this mating so much we’re expecting another Durazo calf from her this spring.

Hair, pigment, muscle - hard to miss this guy in the pen.

On Saturday, we acquired a strong female from Jnr Farms. JNR Makenna is out of the 14-year-old JNR Mystic 229Z, a proven matriarch that has produced JNR Armor and many hardworking females. She was selected for the longevity, length, and broodiness that runs through her pedigree and we’re excited to see her impact in the Nelson program. Congratulations to Jerry Repka, Nicole, Regan, and Rayanna Repka on a great sale.

Today we said goodbye to one of the biggest personalities on the farm, Eeyore. Eeyore was a special donkey who was a guardian for our sheep, halter breaker of our 4H calves, and a friendly greeter to my grandma. But most importantly, he was the bestest friend to my horse, Pebbles. Thank you Eeyore for being an ass when you had to, but sweet and loving the rest of the time ❤️🫏 The family and Pebbles will miss you and your brays dearly ❤️ love you buddy

After a long few years of drought, we are very thankful to have had rain this year. The cows hardly remembered what green grass was! Although we have been lucky this summer, many farms in the province have not been as fortunate. We are praying for rain for our friends who need it most.
