I'm a beer k**b, not a beer snob, introduced to the worlds of craft brewing and mainstream beer and imported brews and local pints by a few great friends back in my college days at Malaspina University-College in Nanaimo. To help colour up my room, I started saving different bottles and lined them up against the wall. Keep in mind that I was a college student. I combined that with a few cross-Cana
da tours with heavy-drinkin' ska band The Kiltlifters, and brought back a garbage bag full of empties to show off every time. There are not many things in the world that elicit as much in the way of colourful conversation than the smell of a bag full of empties in the back of a van, but we survived. So, instead of trying to find a place to display more than 300 bottles at a time -- especially when living in an earthquake zone -- here they go, up on Facebook. No, they aren't pro photos--shot with a cell phone cam. But I hope to share some stories about 'em, and encourage other drinkers to offer their opinions on the beers shown here.
