Another hero has fallen in the line of duty.

Just days after our last tribute, we are once again saddened by the loss of Constable Marc Pinizzotto of the Toronto Police Service, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting his community.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire policing community during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Constable Pinizzotto. Thank you for your courage, dedication, and selfless service. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💐💐💐

It is always heartbreaking when one of our Police officers makes ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of OPP Police Officer Tarun Bali, who gave his life while serving and protecting our communities.

Tarun, your courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten. Canada stands proud of your commitment and honours your sacrifice. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family, loved ones, and fellow officers during this difficult time. May you rest in peace, and may your legacy continue to inspire others.

Today, we also take a moment to recognize and salute our local heroes — Nanaimo RCMP officers, Emergency Medical Responders, Nanaimo Fire Rescue, City Bylaw officers and all City staff who work tirelessly day and night to keep our community safe, secure, and clean.

Your dedication, hard work, and sacrifices often happen quietly behind the scenes, but they never go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do to protect and serve our city and community. We truly appreciate your service.

Some journeys begin with crossing borders, but along the way, they become so much more.

We made new connections, built lasting friendships, and some friends gradually became family. First Anthony, and now Alanna.

Watching Alanna’s little one pop out of the birthday box wrapped in paper brought smiles and laughter to everyone. It was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from sharing life’s special moments together.

We all had a wonderful time celebrating Alanna’s birthday and wish her a year filled with happiness, good health, love, and countless blessings.
